Ribbon Cutting Invitation Wording: Templates You Can Copy
ChambridgeShare
The invitation decides how many people stand behind you in the ceremony photo. Here's the wording that fills a sidewalk — copy any template below and swap in your details.
What every invitation must include
Six things, no exceptions: the business name, the words “ribbon cutting” or “grand opening” (people know what those mean — don't get creative here), the date and exact time of the cut, the address, what's in it for the guest (refreshments, discounts, door prizes), and whether to RSVP. Send three to four weeks ahead, remind one week out and the day before.

Small details that raise turnout
Name the exact minute of the cut — “ribbon cut at 10:30 sharp” gives latecomers a deadline. Promise the photo: people come to be in it, so mention the giant scissors. And make the scene worth photographing — a full ceremony kit with satin ribbon (colors decoded here) and, this season, our fall staging ideas. Planning the rest of the event? Start with the 30-day checklist.
